Image of Happy Easter and Happy Hump Day :)

Hi lovelies :)

Happy Easter to you and all your families!  I hope you had a very special day and ate lots of yummy chocolate! I know I certainly did!  It was a strange one this year wasn't it ?  I missed going to church but enjoyed reading the Easter story to Daisy ad Mia and they wrote a prayer of hope also!  Did you read the Easter story ? Could you retell it ? To share when we are back ?  I bet you all still found a way to have lots of fun :)  I can't wait to hear all about it when I see you again.  Maybe you could write a diary entry for Easter Sunday so you don't forget all the lovely things you did?  Do you still remember the important features of  a diary?  If not have a look at this for a quick reminder https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/t-l-53899-diary-writing-helpful-hints-prompt-sheet  I will look forward to seeing it when we go back to school.

How are you guys getting on with the home learning?  Don't worry about getting through it all, just try and do some each day to keep your mind busy :)  Daisy is on her 'Easter Holidays' from school this week so we have had a little rest from her school work and tried to do some practical activities.  She has been loving making rainbows for the NHS so yesterday we made a 'walking rainbow' as a science experiment to explore colour mixing it was a fun one ! Maybe you could try it too !  This is the link just in case. https://www.messylittlemonster.com/2018/06/rainbow-walking-water-science-experiment.html

This weeks home learning focus is all about animals.  I bet you all have a favourite animal don't you ?  Why not do a little research on it and produce a non-chronological report about it!  You could write it out or even use a computer like we did with the chrome books if you have one!  Chester zoo do a weekly virtual tour online which could give you some ideas.

I am going to do one too!  Mine will be about the birds great tits. I've chosen these as we have recently discovered we have a nesting box in the tree at the back of our garden for a family of great tits!  For the last couple of weeks we have watched the baby birds come in and out for food and excercise ( a little like us on lockdown :)  and we have been keeping a diary.  I will share it all with you including lots of photos when we are back in class.  Have you noticed any birds in your garden?  maybe you could make a bird feeder like this one to try and see if you could spot some more ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/makes/bird-feeder.

I hope you are remembering to read whilst at home?  I have read two books on my own and have been reading 'Gangster Granny' with Daisy for our own 3 'O Clock stop!   If you are missing listening to the BFG there are some great activities here for you https://www.roalddahl.com/roald-dahl/stories/a-e/the-bfg

Make sure you keep up with your spelling too :)  For your maths learning I have added some more work for you to be getting on with on active learn andI look forward to see who is 'rocking' the leader board on TT Rockstars!   The White Rose Maths website is a great resource too :)

I hope I've given you some ideas to keep you busy :)  Keep smiling, keep being wonderful and I will see you all soon:)

Love and hugs and virtual high fives!
