In preparation for Friday's Eco Day Year 3 have been discussing recycling and creating fantastic posters to remind our school how important recycling is.
Year 3 and 4 enjoying our sports afternoon ran by students from Trafford College.
Year 3 were given the challenge of selling toys to the rest of the class. We had to used all of the persuasive features we had discussed, and produce our own posters.
We certainly have some bright futures in advertising in our class!
Year 3 have been learning all about how Tudors used to dress. We created our own Tudor ruffs and enjoyed pretending we were wealthy Ladies and Lords.
Today we learnt all about different Tudor toys, we made our own cup and ball toy and enjoyed testing them out in the playground.
Today, as part of our History lesson, we became characters from the Tudor times. We were introduce to Henry, who was very poor, and Lady Margaret who was extremely wealthy. We then created our own Tudor characters and decided whether we wanted them to be rich or poor.…
We really enjoyed our visit from such a wonderful poet ! We also really enjoyed writing our own poems with Andy.
Today, Year 3 have been interviewing characters from Fantastic Mr Fox, as soon as we sit in the 'Hot Seat' we become the character, we certainly have some future actors/ actresses in Year 3 !
Inspired by Andy Warhol we have began to draw portraits of ourselves. We will then use the same picture, but experiment with different colours. We have had lots of fun deciding whether we should have green hair or blue faces.
Today we have been practising our dictionary skills. We read through chapters 4-6 of Fantastic Mr Fox, and highlighted any words which were unfamiliar to us. We then looked these words up in our dictionaries and wrote the definition into our book.
For our first Cookery Club we made delicious fruit kebabs, a yummy, yet healthy treat :)
