Year 1 have enjoyed learning about Igbo art and creating their own colourful Igbo masks. First we looked at a beautiful mask that was carved from wood. Then we looked at pictures of masks and the different facial features. We practised drawing eyes, eyebrows, noses and mouths before using our favourite ones on our own masks. We are very pleased with our Igbo masks!
