Year 3/4S celebrated their class mass on Wednesday and led the parish in an act of remembrance. At the end of mass Fr. Michael spoke to the class about the altar and different aspects of the mass.
Year 3/4 have been investigating which materials conduct electricity and which can be used as an insulator. They had great fun testing materials from pencils to paper clips!
Year 3/4 worked very hard on a variety of mathematical problems, it was great to see them persevering with the problems to find a solution!
We welcome back Lancashire GAA. Y3/4 have enjoyed their first two sessions with Andy, learning how to play Gaelic football.
The children did a fantastic job of giving Tim's garden a 'make over' during our environment day at school. Thank you to Mrs Walker and Alice for all their hard work and for all the donations we received to make the garden look great.
Y4 had a great time making their Easter nests with Mrs Walker. In groups they had to work out how much ingredients they would need, so that each one could make a chocolate nest. The finished nests looked fantastic and surprisingly they also tasted…
Well done Y4 on some amazing egg creations. They were all egg-cellent! The competition this year was of the highest standard, with some very serious entries, it was certainly no YOKE!!
Well done to Y3 & Y4 on their fantastic portrayal of the Easter Story. A wonderful start to Holy Week, as they retold the most fascinating story of all time.
Poet Andy Tooze visited our class on Tuesday and Y4 wrote some fantastic poems all about friends. He gave the children some great ideas and tips for writing poetry.
