The children enjoyed baking biscuits for Valentine’s Day linked to this week’s Maths learning. We explored mass and measures in a practical and fun way. We used scales and measuring cups to weigh the flour, sugar and butter talking about heavy, light, full and empty. The children counted spoonfuls, compared amounts and followed simple instructions.
In Maths, we have been learning about the place value of numbers. We represented numbers to 1,000 using base ten.
In Maths, we have been learning our Roman Numerals and carried out a code breaker hunt as a fun and practical way to learn these!
