For our topic ‘How has Conflict Impacted our Local Area?’ We have been visiting different types of War Memorials in Urmston. We have considered the reasons they were commissioned and who they commemorate. We were even lucky enough to speak to one of the designers of the benches in the Veterans’ Garden in Canterbury Park.
