Year 5 Maths Challenge Day at St Ambrose!
Well done to Harris, Liyana, Casey and Eliyanah who represented St Hugh’s at a Maths Challenge Day competing against 17 other schools in several problem-solving activities!

Today the children designed and coloured their own buildings inspired by the work on Friedensreich Hundertwasser focusing on colours, wavy lines, nature and spirals!

In Art, we studied Zaha Hadid who is a famous architect who designs futuristic, unique buildings! We then designed our own unusual and unique building!

Roman trip!
Today we visited the Roman Fort Experience in Wrexham where we learnt how the Romans built roads, threw spears, their living conditions, patrolled and wore armour!

Today we were learning about observational drawings and put our skills into practice by sketching a picture of a house into our sketch books using close and careful observational skills!
