Today we had our last Spanish lesson with Profe Sandra. At break time we gathered as a school to give her a gift and thank her for fabulous lessons this year.
We are learning how to add sounds to Scratch, how to create loops and how to match sounds to different genres.
As part of our Bee celebrations, we learnt all about the role bees play in pollination.
Today we have been listening to Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. We identified different instruments and how the mood of the piece changes.
As part of our History topic on the Romans, we visited the Roman Fort Experience in Wrexham. We learnt about life in a Roman fort, went on patrol, tried on some armour and helped build part of a Roman road. It was a really interesting and enjoyable day.
Today we took part in an Advent workshop with Sister Ann and Ann. We participated in prayerful reflection and thought about our hopes for Advent.
Celebration of the Word led by Year 5. First Sunday of Advent – Hope
Today we welcomed the Shed of Science to our class. They performed a play teaching us all about air pollution and how important it is that we all work together to improve air quality.
As part of cultural week we took part in a drumming and Bhangra dancing workshop. We had a great time and learnt lots!
Today we welcomed Mrs Noctor to our classroom and she taught us about Caribbean art. We tested different types of paint and techniques. We then started to build up our own picture based on examples we had evaluated.
