James was chosen as the School Book Token Winner and received his prize of an Easter Egg from Mr Smith. He designed a lovely book token with a picture of Sir Captain Tom. Well done James

Caitlin brought her own book in today to show the class as we have been learning about the Seasons. It is so lovely when children want to show you their own books from home that link with what we do in class.
Year One loved playing this game helping them revise one more and one less.

Year One talked about what had happened to the world in the last year. We thanked God for all the people who helped us and we wrote a prayer to God thanking him for our friends. We then read a beautiful book called ‘The World Made a Rainbow’.

Year 1 had a very busy morning learning about tens and ones.
Year 1 had the most amazing Spring Walk. We couldn’t believe how many daffodils and new buds on trees we found, it was wonderful!
Year 1 have made a beautiful kindness tree. They have thought about ways everyone can show kindness to each other.
Year 1 had a fantastic maths lesson reinforcing their counting to 50 by playing snakes and ladders.
Year 1 counted all the continents and then had to find them on the big map Mrs Atherton brought in. It was really tricky. We used play doh to make the continents, looking carefully to make the shape of the land. It was fun!
