Image of Hello from Mrs Barlow

Hi Everyone

How are you all?  Hope you all ok at this very strange time.

I wanted to drop you a note to say ‘Hello’ and hope that you have all been making the most of the time to read, practise your times-tables, help your parents, or learn a new skill. I hope you are all looking at the different activities and work on our website.  I have started to read a new book titled ‘   ‘ The Hygge Holiday’ by Rosie Blake and Mrs Danby recommended the other book that I’ve got (which my daughter Hannah read in a day!)  so I’ll let you know all about them when I finish them.

My working day at school is Monday and I’m with Ms Moran, Mr Smith, Mrs Willows and Mrs Doherty, we have been keeping fit, painting posters for the NHS, practising our basket-ball/netball skills, making mazes, planting sunflower seeds, watering plants, drawing chalk pictures and some orienteering.  I see Maddison B from our class on a Monday, but miss seeing you all.

I’ve been very busy.  I started the first week off making the most of the sunshine by cleaning and tidying my back garden, painting fence panels, buying an parasol umbrella and fire pit/bbq, some garden accessories (solar bee lights), planted some flower seeds and planted some pansies to make a hanging basket.

I spent time baking with my girls making carrot cake, chocolate cheesecake (trying to use some of the easter egg chocolate!) and lemon drizzle cake, all very tasty.

I also ride my bike every day for 20 minutes, I struggled for the first week but I’m getting much better, sometimes my eldest daughter Katie comes with me.  Have any of you been on your bikes or scooters?

I attach photos of some of the things I’ve mentioned.

If you have any news or photos you would like to send me please do via the school it would be lovely to hear from you.

Missing you all, have fun, keep safe, remember be kind and hoping to see you all back at school very soon.  Love Mrs Barlow xx
