Practicing Our Skills

Last week we painted stripes to use on our new display. This week we decided to try and do striped pictures by ourselves - we had to be very careful to not mix the colours together. Some of us did vertical stripes and some made rainbow stripes!

Tick Tock!

Earth Day 22nd April 2017

We made special pictures to celebrate Earth Day. We used shave foam, pain, sticks and paper plates to make our 'earth'.  We watched a video of the earth that had been taken from a space station - it was very beautiful. We talked about looking after our planet.

We played with the Numicon pieces. We were drawing round the pieces and counting how many holes each piece had. We also used the laces to thread the pieces together. We saw that we could make a big number of holes by putting smaller pieces together - 3 + 5 = 8

Today we heard about the celebration of Holi. We were sprinkling powder paint onto a wet cloth to see what would happen. We used sticks to make marks in the paint. We watched a video of people celebrating Holi where they were throwing the paint at each other - it looked like great fun!
