We completed the final stage in our DT project and planted some seeds and herbs to go in our homemade greenhouses. The children have really enjoyed this topic!
Today we started to learn about how the Olympic Games came about, back in Ancient Greek times. We discovered that a lot of the history from this time was recorded on wonderful vases! We started to make our own vases and tomorrow we will decorate them in the same theme.
This afternoon we started the process of making our very own small greenhouses! Next week we are going to plant some seeds in pots to complete our designs.
We love waking up first thing to a bit of ‘just dance’. It gets us in the best mood to start the day!
This week we have been concentrating on adding fractions! I’m so proud of you all. You’ve done amazingly well during our fractions unit.
Today we carried on with our quest to understand equivalent fractions. We played fraction games and the children displayed a great understanding of equivalency. Super Maths morning Year 4!
We love a good puzzle in Year 4! We enjoy solving mysteries and working together as a team. These ‘escape room’ style puzzles call on our maths skills and reading/applying skills.
Today we solved the case of the missing glue sticks! It was Marcus! Well done to the winning team, it was very close…
We had a lovely child led liturgy today. Thank you so much Edmund, Harley and Thomas for the beautiful readings!
Today we carried on our ‘paper plate theme’ and investigated equivalent fractions and how we can use these to make a whole!
Super learning Year 4!
Today we used paper plates to represent different fractions!
