‘Marshmallows’ has been our English focus this week. It is a short clip about a boy camping in the woods and a vicious creature that creeps up behind him.
We have been working towards writing a descriptive setting as an opening for a narrative. We’ve been creating some super extended sentences!…
Today in our music lesson with Mrs Ali, we learnt how to play ‘This old man’ on the xylophone.
We have been studying the artist Kandinsky. This inspired us to paint in the style of this artist for our Mother’s Day cards!
The children worked on learning a fantastic dance routine today with Miss Fletcher. Well done Year 4!
Today we have been making trees in the style of Kandinsky. We read a lovely book called ‘Felix after the rain’ which prompted us to look at colourful illustrations and art work like we had seen in the book.
We had a wonderful morning with Mrs Ali. We enjoyed playing the glockenspiel and learning about the different notes.
We had a brilliant afternoon making string telephones as part of our sound topic in science. The children were amazed because they actually worked!
What a wonderful day we had together again as a class of 30! Excited for the rest of the school year. Well done Year 4, today was a pleasure!
Sending lots of love to you all. We will see you all very soon (in what we hope is a better 2021!) Take care and have a lovely Christmas xxxx
I wish it could be Christmas everyday!
What a fantastic party we had today! I asked the children to bring with them ‘their best possible self’ and they certainly did! We had a ball! We danced, we sang and we played games. Most importantly though, we enjoyed a great day…
Such a wonderful final! Well done to everyone who entered, it was so so close!
Thomas made a wonderful winner, his Justin Bieber cover was brilliant! Good on you Thomas. We loved to watch you sing and dance.
