Aspects of the Mass.
On Friday Y3 and Y3/4 went over to church as Father Michael wanted to talk to the children about aspects of the Mass. They were very impressed with Father's vestments! Maybe we are looking at a some future priests!

Father Michael explains the Paschal Candle
Today we learnt about the Paschal Candle. Father Michael explained how important the candle is. We learnt about Alpha and Omega and the ancient symbol for Jesus Christ; Chi Rho. We enjoyed listening to Father Michael and then making our own models of the Paschal Candle.

Easter Crispy Cakes
Thanks to Mrs White and Mrs Barlow, Year 1/2 made Easter crispy cakes today. They followed the instructions and talked about fractions and measuring the ingredients. Their cakes looked very tasty!

Pyjama Day for St Joseph's Penny.
All the children in Key Stage 1 wore their pyjamas today and donated one pound to the St Joseph's Penny Collection. Thank you to all the children and their parents.

Fractions of chocolate bars- yummy!
Today we found halves and quarters of a chocolate bar and of course we had to eat it afterwards!

Painting in the style of George Seurat
Today we looked some paintings by the artist George Seurat. We saw how his paintings were made up of dots and we tried this ourselves!
