Hello,
Hope you and your families are all well. It was lovely to speak to a few of you this week and hopefully I’ll get to speak to more of you over the next few weeks. I hope you’ve all been enjoying the lovely weather. It’s been wonderful hasn’t it. We’ve been trying to get outside as much as possible. We’ve been enjoying our daily walks and we love looking at the trees and flowers blossoming all around us. Last week we had a lovely afternoon tea in the garden with Eadie’s dollies and another day we watched Toy Story all day and played with the character toys. We are enjoying as much family time as possible - this week the children are going to try and make their own beds! I hope you’re still all helping out at home where you can as we spoke about a few weeks ago!
Like everyone else - we have been doing lots of quizzes! I must admit I’m terrible at them. I need lots of practise. We are doing ‘the virtual quiz’ on youtube every week and I’m getting a bit better! To help me, it would be brilliant if you could send me 3 quiz questions and I’ll see if I can answer them! My school email address is jacksonc@sthughlincoln.trafford.sch.uk and I will reply back (hopefully with the correct answer!). I might even ask you one back too! I look forward to hearing from you!
For a little project this week (your family might like to join in too!) I would like you to think each day about what you are grateful for. Things that you are thankful for. This could be in general or just on that particular day. I’ve been trying to do this everyday and it helps me to remember what is good in the world and on days where I’m finding the current situation hard, it helps me to feel positive.
Today I am thankful for ...
- Nice weather so the children can play in the garden.
- A lovely phone call off my friend.
- Left over Easter eggs (sshhh dong tell the children!!)
Try and think of three things each day.
Please remember the home learning page on here which is updated every week with new websites and activities. This week I’ve found BBC bitesize is particularly good, and straight forward to follow! https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons
As Mr Mountcastle reiterates every week, we want you most importantly to keep happy, well and safe. Enjoy family life and having lots of lie ins! Before we know it, life will return back to normal.
We miss you all, take care, have fun, and we hope to see you all very soon.
Lots of love,
Mrs Jackson, Mrs Atherton & Mrs Barlow xxxxx
