27 April 2020
Hello everybody!
It has been so lovely to see some of you this week whilst I have been out delivering your letters or to speak to you and/or your parents on the phone, it sounds like you are all working very hard! It is so great to hear some of the things you have been doing.
Kleo has learnt how to tie her shoelaces and ride a bike, Theo is practising his football skills, Órla has a been going on bike rides on her new bike, Niamh is smashing her spellings, Lois is reading a lovely book called 'The Faraway Tree', Grace is powering through her work Mum is giving to her, Seb and Dominic are working on their drawing skills, Sapphire has become a builder helping her Dad build a new bed, Will has became a comedian telling jokes, Patryk has been going on some very long bike rides with his family (I even saw him cycling past me in Irlam!) and Marley is giving Joe Wicks a run for his money and has shown me his pet Tortoise.
This weeks home learning topic is food - my favourite thing!
There is lots of different activities you can do to keep yourself busy, I know lots of you have been doing some baking so why don't you have a go at writing out the instructions of how to make the cakes or biscuits you have baked? You could even help Mum and Dad out by writing out the weekly shopping list?
On Friday 1st May it is Pyjamarama Day 2020. Lots of people will wear their pyjamas all day and take part in fun book activities, it's a bit like World Book Day at home! You can find out more about Pyjamarama Day on the BookTrust website.
Have another great week Year 1
Lots of love from Miss Braithwaite xxx
