Image of Hello again :-)

Hello Children,

I hope you’re all well and enjoying your time at home. I must admit, I’ve been a bit fed up the last few days. But I’ve had to remind myself that it’s normal to feel mixed emotions! It’s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster isn’t it! I went for a walk this morning and I feel much better for it.

Above is a picture of my baby George (who is not so much of a baby anymore!) He looks very happy to be making a mess and playing with his trucks :-)

I can’t believe we are onto Week 8 of home learning already! As you will have noticed, it’s a bit different this time - it’s now separated into class groups. Try and do the BBC bitesize online lessons each day for English and Maths, and I’ve now included spellings on your plan for you to learn each week. I must apologise too as I’ve put the wrong link into your English section. You can access the book you need from here - https://axelscheffler.com/books-for-older-children/coronavirus

Mr Mountcastle has put some further information on secondary schools for the Year 5 children just in case you’ve missed it -

Did you enjoy the VE celebrations this weekend? We had afternoon tea in the garden. Scones and jam are my absolute favourite! I enjoyed telling the children about VE Day, I think next year they might understand it a bit more. They certainly enjoyed the cakes we had though!
Have you been thinking about what you are thankful for? Like we discussed a few weeks ago?
Today I’m thankful for ...

1. A warm coat (I was freezing on my walk!)

2. My smiley, happy children (they’re happy I think as they’re having an hour on their iPads!!)

3. A safe home

Bye for now, hope to see you all very soon. Keep safe and look after each other!
Lots of love
