Hi lovelies, I can't quite believe it's another week! I hope you are all still doing well and keeping busy :) This week I am going to be phoning your parents! I am very excited as it means I may get to speak to some of you guys too :) I miss your voices so it would be lovely to have a catch up! What have you been up to this past week? I received another lovely letter from Stevie at the weekend:) It made my day again! Jessica made a fantastic cake and took a trip to school to drop it off for the teachers! Unfortunately it wasn't my day in school so I have a feeling I might not get to try it :) but it did look delicious !! What a thoughtful thing to do Jessica :) Ava and Daniella were in school on Monday again and we made some minions from a toilet roll! They were so easy to do and looked ace :) It got me thinking that maybe you guys could make your own at home and send me a photo of it and I could make a class collage to go on our classroom door to go with our other minions:) They could look something like this : https://craftsbyamanda.com/cardboard-tube-minions/ But be as creative as you like!
I hope you are still managing to have a go at some of the home learning tasks, if you haven't yet you can access them here : https://files.schudio.com/sthugh/files/home_learning_year_3_M_week_9.pdf Remember you don't need to do them all, just choose a few you fancy! Little and often to keep your wonderful brains active is fine :)
This week is MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK this year the theme is KINDNESS:Be kind always ! One of the things I love most about our class is how kind you all are, so I know you guys will embrace this perfectly :) Have a watch of some of these videos showing some wonderful ways children have been kind during lockdown : https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/52557800 see if you can think of your own! I would love to hear all about them :) As always you can email me on moranv@st-hughlincoln.trafford.sch.uk
It was such a shame we didn't get to celebrate First Holy Communion at the beginning of the month. I am very much hoping we get to celebrate together some time soon! To go someway to making up for it, on Saturday morning at 9.30 a.m. Father Ged is offering a mass for Holy Communion for the year 3 children who are taking part. The children are welcome to join the parish community for the 9.30.a.m. mass. This will take place virtually, on Father's Facebook page, St Anthony of Padua. You can dress in your Communion outfits if you would like to and Father would like you to send him some pictures, these can be sent to school or Father's Facebook page. It might be a nice way to celebrate together :)
Enjoy the rest of the week guys, it's going be a sunny one :)
Stay safe, keep smiling
Missing you all, love and hugs as always
