Hello Year 5

I hope you have all had a good weekend. On Saturday, it was my sister’s birthday and it was lovely to spend some time with her in the garden.

A few weeks ago, we planted some vegetables with Lucinda and we’ve been checking them every day to see their progress. I’m pleased (and relieved) to say that most of them are growing and the peas and cucumbers are really taking off! We are hoping that growing her own vegetables will encourage Lucinda to eat more of them! We’ve also been spending time being active outside when we can.

How did you get on with the virtual sports day? I hope you had fun. You can always try some of the activities again this week.

It was great to talk to you last week. I’m looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on July 15th. It’ll be fun and a good chance for you to catch up with your classmates and spend some time together before the summer.

Many of you are doing a good job of keeping up with your home learning which is great. I hope you like the work I have set for you this week.

This week it is Children’s Art Week 2020. Try these lessons from the BBC and learn how to create art in the style of three famous artists: Andy Warhol, Wassily Kandinsky and Jan Van Eyck.

Have a good week everyone.

Take care and see you soon
