Reception Winter Walk to the Library

Every year in Reception we usually go on frequent walks to Urmston Library.  These trips cover lots of our curriculum:

-On the walk to and from the Library we talk about the season we are in, the local area and use positional language

-When we get to the Library a member of the Library staff reads to the children, they are encouraged to become members of the Library and we also choose books to bring back to our class to help create a love for reading

-Walking is also great for well-being and good exercise

In order for these trips to take place we do need Parents/Carers to accompany us as we cannot do it with just our members of staff.  Please can you let us know as soon as possible if you (or a member of your family) can join us on Tuesday 28th November.  We will be leaving at 9.20am and returning at 11.30am.  Many thanks for your continued support!
