We Love Monster Phonics!

We started our new phonics scheme “Monster Phonics” today! We learnt the phoneme “S” and thought of lots of different words with “S” at the beginning and the end.

We love to read!

This week in Literacy we have been reading stories linked to our first theme-‘It’s good to be me!’ We have been thinking and talking about how we feel with the help of ‘The Colour Monster’ stories.

Every week in Reception we make our own dough. At first we have a little help to measure out the ingredients, follow the instructions and take turns but by the end of the year we can do it all independently!
