We Love To Draw!
During our play learning we have been using colouring pencils, pastels and felt tips to draw pictures of people. We have been thinking carefully about including all of our features, some of us wear glasses which we made sure to include!

We are enjoying our free flow learning!

We Love Monster Phonics!
We started our new phonics scheme “Monster Phonics” today! We learnt the phoneme “S” and thought of lots of different words with “S” at the beginning and the end.

Maths Outside!
We have been learning all about our numbers from 11 to 20, we played a game outside together. We rolled a dice and counted on along the number track.

Reception At Blackpool Zoo
We had a wonderful time at Blackpool Zoo!
We saw so many of the different animals we had learnt about at school, we even found where they lived on our map of the world.
We loved watching the elephants and giraffes eating and all of clever tricks the sea lions could do!

Reception Art Club
We held our first Reception Art Club this week! During this club we share a story together and then create a piece of artwork based on the book.
This week we read “Winnie The Witch” and created our own shape witch. The children really enjoyed it and made some fabulous witches!

A Real Life Superhero!
As part of our topic “Not All Superheroes Wear Capes” we were very lucky to have a visit from one of our mums Amanda who is a midwife and talked us all about how she looks after lots of babies and mummies too! We asked lots of questions and learnt a lot about looking after new born…
