We made some fantastic poems about a fire in the Stone Age. We had to make sure we used a noun first, followed by a verb. The children then put actions to their wonderful poems and performed them to the class.

We have had some very special visitors from Trafford Council in our class today. They told us all about things we can do to protect our environment by making sure we recycle in class and at home. It is extremely important we all try our best to reuse, reduce and recycle.

We have used different layers placed on top of each other to form sedimentary rock, tomorrow when it has set we can cut our rock out of the plastic glass and examine the layers.

We made some excellent predictions about the properties of rocks, and then conducted a number of experiments to test whether certain rocks were permeable, durable and high or low density. We certainly have some budding scientists in Year 3 !
