On Friday afternoon, we joined the rest of our school for assembly in the hall. We joined in with our school prayer and one of our friends showed Mr. Mountcastle his swimming certificates and badges.
Our maths focus last week was shape. We did lots of different activities with shapes and we also used the interactive white board for the first time to play a shape game. We had to be patient as everybody wanted to have a go. We took turns and we all enjoyed it.
This week we made shaker bottles. This was one of our phonic activities but it also helped us to use our fine motor skills and our gross motor skills! We used our bottle shakers as we sang to some movement songs, we did lots of shaking, stretching and moving!
Last week we listened to (and watched) the story of the Gingerbread Man. The children agreed that they would like to make one of their very own, so this week we did! They were very tasty too!
This week we all made our Hand Print Prayer. Miss Carr read the prayer to the children and then they chose the colour of paint they would like. They washed their hands in the soapy water and dried them on the towel.
Before we came home on Friday, Miss Carr helped us to get the tank ready for our fish. We were able to help her with some special words - tank, filter, gravel and water. We were able to tell her that we had to look after them, feed them and care for them. Miss Carr is going to buy our fish on…
I’ve enjoyed doing lots of things this week, here are just some snapshots of what went on!
Inside and outside we had fun exploring the different resources at OUR new school.
Here are a few photos of us settling into nursery. There will be more photos for you to see when you get to school on Monday! This week has gone very quickly, we were all very busy!
