This week is fractions week! In our lesson today we looked at our names and worked out fractions involving the letters e.g what fraction of our names were vowels.
Then we worked what fractions we had using M&Ms. Of course, they didn't go to waste either

Great Fraction Wall's made by the Year 5 children. It was tricky evenly folding paper into halves, quarters etc. We had to measure and then divide the paper strips.

Year 5/6 Maths Group have been finding equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages to describe the different decorated parts in our Fraction Week title page.
The mathematical vocabulary we described was extensive!!!
