Today we all ran the mile with Mrs. Karran and Miss Morrison. Mr Mountcastle and Mr Smith both came out to congratulate us!
Today the children enjoyed learning about the pattern of music with Mrs Ali. We loved learning how to play ‘Frère Jacques’ on the glockenspiel!
It is only our second lesson this term learning the recorder with Mrs Ali and already noticing big improvements so much so there were lots of solo demonstrations.
Well done everyone. Keep up the good work!
In art today the kids made surreal sculptures inspired by the work of Joan Miro. Check out some of the wonderful, wacky sculptures they made, which we will be painting next week...
Today the kids had music with Mrs Ali and learnt how to play Frere Jacques on the glockenspiel! It's safe to say we definitely have lots of talented musicians in our class!
Today we found a snail, we picked it up to have a closer look at it. We decided to find a container to put it in so we could observe it. We were fascinated by the patterns on the shell. We then found a nice planter for it to live in.
This week we have been playing with the Numicon pieces. We used them in lots of different ways during the week, even in the paint! Each Numicon piece is a different shape, a different colour and it has different numbers of holes. We had fun putting our fingers in the holes and wiggling them!
