As part of Number Week we are looking at place value. We had great fun this afternoon investigating number squares and worked out some very tricky problems!

On Wednesday night we took 33 children to Old Trafford to watch Manchester United play Sunderland. As ever the children were very well behaved and really enjoyed the trip, apart from the result obviously!

Today we used the ladders to help us concentrate on improving our speed, control, skill and balance!

Year 5 are very proud of Ellie who won the 'Most Improved Dancer of the Year' award.

We had a great day visiting Stretford Police Station, although some found the cells a little bit too cosy!

Volcanoes

This week we are preparing our volcanoes by painting them. We have looked at all the different types of volcanoes and decided how we wanted to paint them. Hopefully we didn't get too messy!

Writing Workshop with Steve Hartley

The children enjoyed taking part in a writing workshop with Steve Hartley. We played the 'what if' game and Steve gave us lots of ideas and inspiration to help us to become great writers!
