Year 5 are very proud of Ellie who won the 'Most Improved Dancer of the Year' award.
We had a great day visiting Stretford Police Station, although some found the cells a little bit too cosy!
This week we are preparing our volcanoes by painting them. We have looked at all the different types of volcanoes and decided how we wanted to paint them. Hopefully we didn't get too messy!
Year 5 had a very tasty maths lesson today. They had to decide what table to go to that would enable them to get the most chocolate!
Today we had a visit from author Steve Hartley. He talked to us about how he gets his ideas for his books by creating 'what if...'scenarios!
The children enjoyed taking part in a writing workshop with Steve Hartley. We played the 'what if' game and Steve gave us lots of ideas and inspiration to help us to become great writers!

The author Steve Hartley came to our school this morning to talk about the books he writes. He was very funny and the children really enjoyed listening to him.
This term we are very lucky to have Manchester United coaches in to train us with the basics of football!
